our core values
Support Adventure began with our founder, Eric, who wanted the freedom to work with great IT companies while living anywhere in the world. What started as one remote role has grown into a global organization of 230+ technicians, united by a clear set of values that shape how we work and who we choose to work with.
Stability and Reliability
We value steady contracts, predictable income, and long-term relationships. The core of our business is providing stable, recurring engagements that give clients reliable helpdesk staff and allow our contractors to build sustainable lives in countries around the world.
Clear Communication
We value structured and direct communication with clearly defined expectations. By using the right tools for the right situations, such as ticketing systems, chat, email, and video calls, we ensure effective collaboration across fully remote teams.
Authenticity
We believe in helping people authentically. We hold a high standard of service delivery through honest, transparent, and professional work, while encouraging our team to bring their real personalities into customer service. Being ourselves, without anything fake or disingenuous, is central to how we build trust and long-term relationships.
Internationalism
Support Adventure operates worldwide, with the majority of our contractors based in Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, and Latin America, and many of our clients in the US, UK, and Canada. Our international focus enables a win-win-win model built on professionalism and service that is not limited by geography.
Great Value
We deliver more value than expected when we do our deals to create a winning situation for all parties involved. Our model ensures clients receive excellent service while contractors are placed in roles that make sense for their lives, allowing us to build fair and sustainable partnerships rather than prioritizing short-term profit.
Accountability
Remote work requires trust supported by accountability. We expect clear documentation and good note-taking from our contractors, creating transparency around how work is done while avoiding micromanagement and building confidence on all sides.
Embracing neurodiversity
Many of us in tech are neurodivergent. We advocate for environments where our sensitivities and superpowers can thrive, creating opportunities and value, exceeding and transforming expectations for our clients and contractors alike.
Community
We are a global community, not just a staffing company. We value working with people we genuinely enjoy collaborating with and regularly meet in person around the world to strengthen those relationships.
Teachability
Everyone at Support Adventure is both a teacher and a learner. There should be a free flow of information that helps people become the best version of themselves and supports their path in life, whether they are building a business, living abroad, creating an expat lifestyle, or growing a career in tech.
Evolving Structures
When you start a business, it can be chaos. As part of building the business, you need to evolve structure early, certainly once you hire somebody else. If you are a solo entrepreneur, structure needs to be externalized outside of your own head, and once you grow beyond five staff members, it becomes imperative to have clear structures in place to give people guidelines. We are constantly progressing and evolving our structures to support growth and achieve our goals.
Profit-Fuelling Progression
The business evolved from Eric wanting to live abroad to wanting to help others change their lives through stable work overseas. We measure our success by the impact we have on people’s lives and by our ability to help more individuals and businesses achieve their personal and professional goals, and this is where we reinvest our profits.
